Step away from the day-to-day running of your business,
think bigger in the company of like-minded business owners, and leave with a plan that excites the hell out of you!
The ELT world has enough academic conferences. What it doesn’t have is a dedicated space for language education business owners to:
develop their sales and marketing skills
connect with people who get the ups and downs of running a business
have open, honest conversations about topics often kept off the table - like money, marketing, and making your work truly sustainable.
That’s why Make it Happen was created.
This is a first-of-its-kind event designed to help you move from ideas to action. Here’s how the day will unfold:
Four lightning talks
Aimed at shifting your perspective and sparking new ideas and energy. We're done with playing small, and we want to see you playing big too.
Three guided masterminding sessions
Three in-depth opportunities to work together on the three key drivers of a thriving business: audience growth, nurturing, and sales.
Carefully designed and guided by people who understand the rollercoaster ride of owning a language business and who are here to support you along the way.
Plenty of time to connect
We know just how valuable it is to get to talk about this stuff with other business owners, so we're leaving plenty of time for mingling, lunch (in the park - weather permitting), coffee breaks, and ending with an amazing guided visualisation followed by drinks at the venue bar (non-alcoholic drink is provided, but you can also buy alcohol).
Take time away from your business
Leamington is a hidden gem, a beautiful Regency Spa, with a great range of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. We'll kick off the night before with a short walk and talk to see the main sights and hear a bit about the history of the town.
Then enjoy the venue itself, in the middle of nature, with great views all day, but within 5 minutes walk of the town. Get away from the day-to-day challenges of doing everything, and enjoy space to learn, think, brainstorm and take action on your big, bold ideas.
Whether you’re a:
teacher
trainer
school owner
course creator
…if you run a business in the language world, this day is for you.
You don’t need to be a marketing expert, have thousands of followers, or be earning six figures. What matters is your commitment to building a business that brings both impact and income — and your willingness to learn, share, and make it happen.
A charming town known for its beautiful architecture, lush green spaces, and thriving business scene. Regularly ranked among the best places to live and work in the UK, Leamington blends historic elegance with modern innovation.
Our venue is right at the heart of it all. We’ll spend the day in the breathtaking Riverside Glasshouse, overlooking the River Leam through floor-to-ceiling windows, giving you even more space to think, strategise, and plan your next big move in your language business.
Leamington is only 30 minutes away from Birmingham Airport (BHX) or just over an hour from London.
Just a stone’s throw from Warwick Castle, Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon, and the beautiful Cotswolds, there’s plenty to see in the area.

FAQ
Does this include travel, food and accommodation?
No. Your ticket includes access to the event and to a light lunch and coffee and tea on the day and a post-event follow up session (details TBC, but it will be in Leamington).
When should I arrive and depart from Leamington?
If you are travelling from outside the Uk we recommend arriving Wednesday and leaving Friday- unless you want to make a long weekend of it.
What if I need to cancel?
Tickets are non-refundable. However, if you cannot attend the event, you can transfer your ticket to someone else free of charge until the 20th September.
Can I bring a guest?
Only ticket holders can attend the event, but by all means bring a guest to Leamington! They’re welcome to join the evening networking (if they don’t mind being surrounded by language nerds).
Will I learn anything new at this event?
We hope so! It's going to be a unique combo of lightning talks to create lightbulb moments and guided Masterminding to actually move your business forward.
Each session will likely teach you something new, but don’t think you’ll just get knowledge. The whole idea is that you leave with an action plan to Make it Happen.
SO… SEE YOU IN LEAMINGTON?
